A Good Reminder

I've been reading in "My Utmost for His Highest" today (well, it's actually yesterday's entry) and I was struck by this quote, "Keep your whole life continually open to Jesus Christ.  Don't pretend to be open with Him."  I quickly thought that I don't pretend and then I realized that it's more about slowing down long enough to be able to be "continually open" and be filled by Him.  And, honestly, that is not something I'm very good at....yet.  I don't think I'm living a facade, by any means, I just need continual reminders to abide in Him, to rest in Him, be restored, renewed, reenergized, and refocused so that the very word "pretend" doesn't strike such a negative cord....and, of course, so that I'm "continually open" to His direction for my life.
